Programs For Students

Literacy Volunteers of Santa Fe offers the following programs to adults who need help with learning English and/or improving reading and writing skills.

If you know an adult who needs to learn to speak, read, and write in English, please help him or her contact us. It often takes great courage to take the first step.

English as a Second Language (ESL) Tutoring

  • Community Groups – tutors meets with a small group of students in a convenient community location at convenient times
  • Workplace Tutoring Groups - tutors go to hotels, restaurants, and other workplaces to teach small groups of employees

Basic Literacy Tutoring

  • Individual Tutoring - tutors work one-to-one with low-level readers or non-readers
  • Workplace Tutoring Groups - tutors go to hotels, restaurants, and other workplaces to teach small groups of employees

Computer Lab

The self-paced tutorial computer-learning lab has programs to help you improve your reading and writing skills and/or English as a Second Language skills. The lab is located at Santa Fe Community College in the Adult Basic Education Center, Room 515, near the Literacy Volunteers of Santa Fe office, which is in Room 514A. Hours vary.
